Leopold Kuhn
Leopold Kuhn ( August 16, 1861 in Vienna - January 16, 1902 near Vienna) was an Austrian theater director , conductor and composer .
Life
During the summer months from 1890 to 1900, Kuhn directed the spa theater in Bad Hall . As Kapellmeister he was at the Theater an der Wien in 1895/96 and at the Thaliatheater in Berlin in 1896/97 . In the fall of 1898 he became director of the Chernivtsi City Theater . An incurable illness soon forced the management to give up. He was admitted to a mental hospital and died at the age of 40.
Kuhn, who also composed, had among other things written the music for the farce The poor girl .
