Les Joyaux de la Princesse

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Les Joyaux de la Princesse (short: LJDLP ) is a music project by the French musician and doctor Erik Konofal , which was founded in Paris in 1986. It is often assigned to the Martial Industrial genre . The musical style can be described as a mixture of dark ambient sounds and neoclassical music , often using original recordings, mostly French chansons , operas and speeches .

LJDLP's publications are often strictly limited and lavishly designed boxes, which are considered sought-after and highly-paid collector's items. Previous publications included the 1937 Paris World Exhibition , the " White Rose ", absinthe and the politician Philippe Henriot (1889–1944), a key figure in the Vichy regime .

Collaborations took place with Death in June , Blood Axis and Muslimgauze and others.

Like many bands from this environment, LJDLP is also accused of right-wing extremism and glorification of National Socialism. At LJDLP, this is due, among other things, to the participation in the sampler "Zyklon B" (including " Allerseelen " and "Final Solution"), which is packed in a Zyklon B canister. Of course, this contradicts the appreciation of the "White Rose" on the album of the same name. As is typical of the genre, however, the artists themselves do not comment on their work.
