Les McKeand
Les McKeand ( Leslie Alexander Harcombe McKeand; born September 17, 1924 in Kyogle , † November 11, 1950 in Denman , New South Wales ) was an Australian triple jumper and javelin thrower .
In 1948 he was seventh in the triple jump at the Olympic Games in London .
At the British Empire Games in Auckland in 1950 , he won silver in the triple jump and was seventh in the javelin throw.
In 1950 he became Australian triple jump champion with his personal best of 15.35 m and also won the national javelin throw.
He died in a car accident.
