Les Ramoneurs de menhirs is a Breton folk-punk band that was founded in 2006. The band consists of Éric Gorce on the Bombarde , Richard Bévillon on the bagpipes , the traditional Breton singer Maurice Jouanno and Loran, guitarist with Bérurier Noir . They play at traditional dance festivals (Fest-noz) as well as at normal concerts. Her texts are almost exclusively in the Breton language .
history
The band was formed in 2006 after Éric and Richard Louise Ebrel invited Maurice Jouanno and ex- Bérurier Noir member Loran for their album of traditional Breton music, Kerne Izel. Her first album, Dañs an Diaoul ("The Devil's Dance") was released in 2006 on the label of Bérurier Noir, Folklore de la Zone Mondiale . The singer Louise Ebrel, daughter of Eugénie Goadec , a famous traditional Breton musician, was a guest singer on some of the songs on the album.
In April 2010 their second album came out: Amzer an dispac'h ("The time of revolt"). Numerous guests were invited to record the album: Gilles Servat , Les mangeouses d'oreilles , Blackfire , Niko Tagada , Louise Ebrel and finally Roland et Jean-Pierre from the Quic-en-Groigne group from Saint-Malo.
