Leslie Dixon

Leslie Dixon is an American screenwriter and film producer .

Life

Leslie Dixon is the daughter of the journalist and copywriter Daniel Rhodes Dixon (1925–2009). Her grandparents were the painter Maynard Dixon (1875–1946) and the documentary photographer Dorothea Lange .

Leslie Dixon grew up in San Francisco and never went to college or any other film school. She kept her head above water with small part-time jobs and began reading scripts to see for herself how to write them. She then moved to Los Angeles and knew exactly what she wanted to be. As a screenwriter, her first work Nothing but Trouble with the Guy was filmed. After writing comedies for a few years, she also tried more serious films like The Thomas Crown Affair , The Happiness Principle and, most recently, No Limit .

Leslie Dixon is married to Tom Ropelewski , with whom she worked together in Loverboy - Love Made to Order , Look Who's Talking Now and A Friend to Fall in Love with .
