Scot Armstrong (born September 22, 1970 in Illinois ) is an American screenwriter and film producer .

Life

Scot Armstrong, who grew up in Wheaton , Illinois , studied under improvisation artist Del Close at the Improv Olympic in Chicago before joining the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater in New York City , where he not only acted but also directed a number of plays. After moving to Los Angeles, he stayed at the theater and continued to act in a number of plays.

Since 2000, Scot Armstrong has been known primarily as a screenwriter for comedies such as Road Trip and Old School - We Leave Nothing Burning . In the meantime Armstrong worked on the script for films such as Buddy and Bad Santa without being mentioned in the credits. Above all with Todd Phillips , he has a long-standing collaboration that includes almost all projects. He was also involved in the script for Hangover 2, which was released in 2011 .

Armstrong lives with his wife Kerry and their daughter in Los Feliz , a district of Los Angeles .
