The Lessing School is a building in Erzhausen , Darmstadt-Dieburg district , Hesse , which is used by a primary school .

description

The school building was built in the late 1950s in the style of post-war modernism . The structure is approx. 55 meters long and approx. 10 meters wide. The two-story building has a gently sloping gable roof . The large windows on the south facade , the small windows on the north facade and the windowless west and east facade are typical of the construction period . The west and east facades are clad with yellow bricks . The area around the southwest entrance is also covered with yellow bricks. The facade above the south-east entrance consists of glass blocks .

The building is under monument protection and is recorded in the list of cultural monuments in Erzhausen under the number 95231.

The AWO Hessen-Süd offers afternoon care for primary school students.

From 2004 to 2019 Monika Engel-Pfeiffer was the principal of the Lessing School. The new headmistress since 2019 is Marlene Benz.
