Letebrhan Haylay

Letebrhan Haylay Gebreslasea (born October 29, 1990 ) is an Ethiopian long-distance runner .

On December 15, 2013, she ran the half marathon in Vadodara , which she finished as the winner after 1:11:37 minutes. She won the Paderborn Easter Run on April 19, 2014 after 1:09:45 h, which was also a new personal best. She achieved her first marathon victory on January 17, 2016 at the Hong Kong Marathon in 2:36:51 h, a run with the label Gold at the IAAF Road Race Label Events 2016 . On April 10, she won the Rotterdam Marathon in 2:26:15 h. At the Shanghai Marathon on October 30th, she finished eighth in 2:30:45 hours.

In 2017 she was unable to defend her title at the Hong Kong Marathon on February 12th and finished fourth in 2:33:56 h. At the Dongying Marathon on May 7th, she won in the course record time of 2:25:01 h, which was also a personal best. On November 12th she finished third in the Istanbul Marathon in 2:25:14 h.

On May 5, 2018, she successfully defended her title at the Dongying Marathon and improved the course record and her personal best to 2:24:47 h.
