Letizia Bertoni

Letizia Bertoni (born March 5, 1937 in Milan ) is a former Italian sprinter and hurdler .

In 1954 she won bronze in the 4 x 100 meter relay at the European Athletics Championships in Bern .

At the Olympic Games in Melbourne in 1956, she was fifth in the 4-by-100-meter relay and was eliminated over 200 m in the run. In 1958 she was fourth in the 4 x 100 meter relay at the European Championships in Stockholm and reached the semi-finals over 200 m .

At the Olympic Games in Rome in 1960, she came in the 4-by-100-meter relay again in fifth place and failed over 80 m hurdles in the first round.

At the EM in 1962 in Belgrade, she was eliminated from the 80 m hurdles in the semifinals and was disqualified with the Italian team in the final of the 4 x 100 meter relay .

She was Italian champion over 80 m hurdles seven times (1958–1964) and once over 200 m (1962).
