Leutkirch belongs to the locality of Neufrach and is therefore part of the Baden-Württemberg municipality of Salem in the Lake Constance district in Germany .

Geographical location

Leutkirch, first mentioned in 1220, is located southeast of Neufrach, south of the Leutkircher Forest and between the districts Wespach and Mittelstenweiler, which also belong to Salem, at an altitude of about 465  m above sea level. NHN .

In Leutkirch, three small biotopes have been identified by the LUBW : the " Hangquellmoor south of Leutkirch", "Hecken and reed beds south-west of Leutkirch" and the " Gallery forest on the way between Leutkirch and Wespach".

Buildings

On the road to Wespach is the Catholic branch church of the Assumption of Mary , built around 1200 . In 1210, she became the lords of Rohrsdorf the monastery Salem transmitted.
