Lev Ivanovich Ivanov
Lev Ivanov ( Russian Лев Иванович Иванов * February 18 . Jul / 2. March 1834 greg. In Moscow , † December 11 jul. / 24. December 1901 greg. In Saint Petersburg ) was a Russian dancer , teacher, choreographer and ballet masters . Ivanov was the assistant to ballet master Marius Petipa at the Kirov Ballet / Mariinsky Theater in Saint Petersburg .
Act
In 1892 Ivanov choreographed the world premiere of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky's ballet The Nutcracker at the St. Petersburg Mariinsky Theater .
Even today, the so-called “White Nudes” (the second and fourth) of Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake (1895) are danced to choreographies by Ivanov.
