The life of the desperate ex-insurance agent Nathan Ford changes radically when he is approached by a stranger in a bar and asked for help. It is about the head of an aerospace company, Victor Dubenich, who was robbed of construction plans that were extremely important to him. Dubenich offers Nate a lucrative job: for a fee of 600,000 dollars, he is supposed to get the plans back. In this campaign, Nathan is supposed to be assisted by a team of experienced professionals who, however, had previously only "worked" on their own. Despite initial skepticism and remorse on the part of Nathan, the unconventional quartet actually manages to get the blueprints. But then Nate's team has to find out that Dubenich has cheated on them and now wants to deliver to the knife. Dubenich shouldn't get away with it. To get back at him, Nate turns to an old friend: Sophie Devereaux . On stage, she is the worst actress the world has ever seen - but when she enters the illegal floor of criminal machinations, she is in top form ...

US soldier Robert Perry, who was stationed in Iraq until recently, turns to Nate and his 'Leverage' team for help. He and his unit suddenly came under heavy fire, but the attackers were probably members of the private American security company Castleman , and not enemy soldiers. Back at home, Perry learns that the government has denied him the financial means for urgently needed therapy - because there is no evidence of who shot him. Nathan and his team, who have now set up an office, go undercover to a charity event organized by Castleman to find out more about the security company. Parker and Alec hack into Charles Dufort's computer and break into the safe in Charles Dufort's office, while Sophie distracts the boss of the company. Dufort seems to be the corrupt and unscrupulous initiator of a plot in which senior Congressman Jenkins is involved ...

Wall Street speculator Alan Foss had recently approached the passionate horse trainer and suggested that he participate in the farm. However, when the horses did not produce the profit they had hoped for, Foss set fire to the horse stable to collect the sum insured. Nine of Martin's beloved animals were killed in the fire. The Leverage team takes on the matter, which incidentally leads to emotional entanglements as Willie's daughter Aimee Eliot is an old sweetheart. The job also turns out to be more complicated than expected. Nathan's successor at the big insurance company Nathan used to work for, wants Martin to be responsible for the fire. As a result, its good reputation and thus its entire existence are now at stake ...

Nate wants to help his college friend Paul save his small Catholic parish of St. Niclas from real estate shark Andrew Grant. Nate had once attended the seminary with Paul and he also associates special memories with this church building, such as the baptism of his deceased son. But it quickly becomes clear: It is difficult to prove anything to Grant, because he has acquired Paul's church legally. It seems impossible to save the chapel from demolition. But then Nate got an idea. The only salvation for the church would be a miracle - a miracle that the Leverage team helps a little ...
