Levi Carneiro
Levi Fernandes Carneiro (born August 8, 1882 in Niterói , † September 5, 1971 in Rio de Janeiro ) was a Brazilian lawyer and writer .
Levi Fernandes Carneiro graduated from the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro in 1903 with a degree in law and social sciences, and from 1938 onwards he was a professor at its law school. From 1951 to 1955 he worked as a judge at the International Court of Justice in The Hague , succeeding his compatriot Philadelpho Azevedo , who had died in office.
From 1936 Levi Carneiro belonged to the Academia Brasileira de Letras (Cadeira 27), the Brazilian Academy of Literature in Rio de Janeiro.
