The Lago di Levico (German: Levicosee ; old German name: Löweneckersee ) is a lake in Valsugana in Trentino , Italy , east of Trento .
The only place on the lake is the spa town of Levico Terme with the Palazzo delle Terme thermal baths and bathing beach at the southeast end of the lake. The rest of the 440 m high lake, surrounded by steep, wooded slopes, is almost undeveloped. Only two kilometers to the west is the larger Lago di Caldonazzo .
The lake is characterized by the excellent water quality. At the northern end of the lake (already part of the neighboring town of Pergine Valsugana) one encounters impressive flora and fauna in the steeply sloping forests.
