Lew Solomonowitsch Ginsburg
Lew Solomonovich Ginsburg ( Russian Лев Соломонович Гинзбург ; born 15 jul. / 28. January 1907 greg. In Mogilev ; † 22. November 1981 in Moscow ) was a Russian cellist and musicologist .
Ginsburg was a graduate and aspirant of the Moscow Conservatory . He did his doctorate on Luigi Boccherini's influence on the development of the cello. From 1936 he taught cello and interpretation there. He published numerous articles and treatises on interpretation.
