Lew Tendler

Lew Tendler (* 28. September 1898 in Philadelphia , Pennsylvania , USA ; † 5. November 1970 in Atlantic City , New Jersey , USA ) was an American boxer in the lightweight .

Tendler was of Jewish descent and was managed by Phil Glassman , who also managed Emory Cabana , Benny Bass , Danny Kramer and Harry Gimbel , among others . It was southpaw , 1.68 m tall and had a reach of 1.78 m.

The southpaw is considered to be one of the best boxers who could never conquer a world title.
