Lewis Irving (born November 10, 1995 in Québec ) is a Canadian freestyle skier . He starts in the aerials discipline (jumping).

Career

Irving took part in the Nor-Am Cup for the first time in Park City in February 2013 , finishing in 16th and 13th place. In February 2014, he took his first Nor-Am Cup victory in Lake Placid and finished fifth in the Aerials discipline ranking. At the 2014 Junior World Championships in Chiesa in Valmalenco , he came in 17th place. In the 2014/15 season he achieved two first and second places, second place in the Aerials discipline classification of the Nor-Am Cup. He made his World Cup debut in January 2015 at Deer Valley Resort , which he finished in 15th place. At the Junior World Championships 2015 in Chiesa in Valmalenco, he finished eighth. In the following season he won the Aerials discipline of the Nor-Am Cup with two wins, a second and two third places. In the 2017/18 season at the Secret Garden Resort he achieved his first podium finish in the World Cup with third place and ninth place in the Aerials World Cup at the end of the season. At the season highlight, the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang , he jumped to 24th place. In the 2019/20 season he made seven World Cup appearances, four times in the top ten. He was third in Krasnoyarsk and second in Minsk and thus reached fifth place in the Aerials World Cup.
