Lewis Sheldon
Lewis Sheldon ( Lewis Pendleton Sheldon ; born June 9, 1874 in Rutland , Vermont , † February 18, 1960 in Biarritz , France ) was an American athlete .
In 1896 he was US champion in the all-around competition. At the Olympic Games in 1900 in Paris, he came third in the triple jump and the standing high jump and each fourth in the standing long jump and standing triple jump .
His brother Richard Sheldon became Olympic champion in the shot put at the same games.
