Lhokseumawe ( Indonesian Kota Lhokseumawe , Aceh Lhôk Seumaw'è , Jawi لهوکسيوماوي) is a city in the Indonesian province of Aceh . It does not belong to any Kabupaten (administrative district), but forms a Kota (district-free city).

location

Lhokseumawe is located in northeast Aceh and is surrounded by the Kabupaten Aceh Utara . The city has access to the sea and is located on the Strait of Malacca .
