Libell is a five-piece electro-pop band from Mainz .
history
The band was founded in 2016. The band members and long-time friends Sonja, Sam, Flo, Olli and Jo stand for modern electro-pop with German lyrics. The band writes and produces all lyrics and songs themselves.
After releasing the first single “Flieg” and the following EP “Weite Reise”, the quintet took third place in the 2017 band supporter contest in the Rhine-Main area. In the same year the band was awarded the German Rock & Pop Prize as “Best Electropop Band 2017”.
Among other things, the band played in the Kulturbrauerei in Berlin as well as at the Schlossgrabenfest and in the Centralstation Darmstadt .
