The Liberty Street is a street in Manhattan , New York City , which until the American Revolution was called Crown Street. It begins in the west on South End Avenue and runs east to Pearl Street. On Liberty Street are: One Chase Manhattan Plaza , the Federal Reserve Bank of New York , One Liberty Plaza , Zuccotti Park , the World Financial Center , Gateway Plaza , Liberty Park, and the North Cove Marina. On September 11, 2001 , the road in the area of ​​the World Trade Center was badly damaged by falling debris when the south tower collapsed. The recovery is still in progress.

The Fire Department 10 of the New York City Fire Department with its Engine Company 10 and Ladder Company 10 units is located at 124 Liberty Street, directly across from Ground Zero .
