Lică Stavarache Movilă (born October 21, 1961 in Brăila ) is a former Romanian football player . He played a total of 199 games in the Romanian Divizia A . The midfielder won the Romanian championship with Dinamo Bucharest in 1983 and 1984 .
Career
Movilă's career began in 1981 when he joined the first team of his home club SC Bacău . On June 21, 1981, he came to his first appearance in the Divizia A . After he had come six more times in the 1981/82 season , he was used more often in the first half of the 1982/83 season . In early 1983 he was committed to the top club Dinamo Bucharest , with whom he was able to win the Romanian championship in the same year. He and his team were able to repeat this success a year later . At the same time, he moved with his club into the semi-finals of the European Cup . In the following years he became a regular member of the club. As the Romanian number two behind Steaua Bucharest , apart from winning the 1986 cup , he could n't win another title.
In 1988 he left Dinamo to league rival Flacăra Moreni , with whom he was able to celebrate the greatest success in the club's history in the season 1988/89 in fourth place in the overall standings. He then moved to Universitatea Cluj and a year later to Simbrul Kishinev in the second Soviet division . In early 1992 he joined the Israeli club Hapoel Be'er Scheva , where he ended his career in the same year.
National team
Movilă played 14 games for the Romanian national team . He made his debut on June 1, 1983 in the friendly against Yugoslavia , when he came on in the 70th minute. He was used in three other friendlies in the same year. The game on September 7, 1983 against Poland , in which he was able to score his only goal, was initially his last international match. National coach Mircea Lucescu renounced him for a year before he came to another international match on September 12, 1984 in the qualifier for the 1986 World Cup against Northern Ireland .
Again, it took more than a year before he was considered again on February 28, 1986 in a friendly against Egypt . Movilă was always part of the squad in subsequent friendlies and was mostly in the starting lineup. With the start of qualification for the European Championship in 1988 , however, he was no longer appointed.
