Kiss Tour Chronology
Creatures of the Night Tour (1982-1983) Lick It Up Tour (1983-1984) Animalize Tour (1984–1985)

The Lick It Up Tour was a tour by the band Kiss in 1983/84 after the release of their album Creatures of the Night in 1982.

Both the album and the tour that followed were only moderately successful commercially. That's why the Kiss members decided to take off their legendary make-up. On November 18, 1983, the day Lick It Up was released , they showed themselves to the public for the first time unvarnished on MTV . The album Lick It Up sold better than its two predecessors. To promote this, Kiss went on a tour.

European tour

The European tour was originally supposed to start in September, but was postponed because the stage was not brought to Europe in time. It was the same as the stage on the Creatures of the Night tour, but unlike the previous tour, there was hardly any use of pyrotechnic effects. So it started on October 11, 1983 in Lisbon , Portugal . The musicians felt like they were at a sound check when they played their first show without their make-up. They also came to Germany . They performed in the cities of Offenbach am Main , Munich , Sindelfingen , Nuremberg and Essen . The concert on November 13, 1983 in Brussels , Belgium , was attended by members of Iron Maiden . They completed their European tour on November 25, 1983 with a concert in Uleåborg , Finland . Vinnie Vincent was dismissed after the European tour because of his excessive guitar solos and human differences.

North America tour

The North American tour began on December 26, 1983 in Atlanta , United States . Vinnie Vincent played the North American tour because Kiss could not find a replacement at short notice. The commercial low was reached on January 9, 1984, when Kiss played in front of 1,507 spectators in Biloxi, Mississippi . The concert on January 11, 1984 in Nashville , Tennessee was recorded for the King Biscuit Flower Hour and later aired cut. After the concert on January 27, 1984 in Los Angeles there was almost a fight. After the last concert in Evansville (Indiana) on March 17, 1984, Vinnie Vincent was fired for good. The North American tour, like the European tour, was a financial flop. The next album played Mark St. John a.
