Liebigstrasse 16-18 in Heilbronn

The semi-detached house Liebigstrasse 16 and 18 is a listed building in Heilbronn . It was built for senior employees of Knorr AG according to plans by the architect Theodor Moosbrugger between 1911 and 1916 in the Heimat style.

The duplex was built in the same style as the neighboring duplex at Liebigstrasse 12 and 14 . The building, built on the plan of a horseshoe in the local style, has integrated bay windows . The two street-side gables are clad with clapboards . Only in house 16 are the original shutters on the gable preserved.

history

In 1950 the foremen Hermann Schülen and Karl Siller lived in No. 16, in No. 18 lived the foreman Ernst Lutz, the saleswoman Else Vödisch and the worker Karl Barzik. In 1961, the master mechanic Erich Hofmann lived next to Schülen at No. 16, and at No. 18, the architect Anton Haberzettl lived next to Barzik, who was now a commercial clerk.
