Song manuscript

A song manuscript is a collective manuscript from the Middle Ages or modern times that contains copies of songs in whole or in part . Late medieval manuscripts (like prints ) are often referred to as song books . The song manuscripts are often evidence of the highly developed medieval book illumination , the most famous of which is probably the Codex Manesse .
