Liesel Winkelstrater

Liesel Winkelsträter (born February 28, 1921 in Landau ; † March 29, 2010 ) was a Hessian politician ( SPD ) and a member of the Hessian state parliament .

education and profession

After attending primary and commercial school, Liesel Winkelsträter worked as a commercial and administrative clerk between 1936 and 1941. Since October 1951 she has been the district secretary at the chemical-paper-ceramics industrial union for the state of Hesse, where she was particularly responsible for looking after female employees. Liesel Winkelsträter was an honorary labor and social judge as well as youth magistrate.

Liesel Winkelsträter had been a member of the SPD since 1946 and worked in many party functions in her party. From December 1, 1962 to November 30, 1970, she was a member of the Hessian state parliament for two electoral terms. In 1964 she was a member of the 4th and in 1969 the 5th Federal Assembly .
