The Liethe is a former estuary of the Wipper . Today it branches off from the Wipper near Amesdorf , but is blocked off from this by the Liethe (weir) inlet structure and is only fully flowed through during floods. The Liethe is 8.8 kilometers long, flows through Güsten and Rathmannsdorf and flows into the Bode near Staßfurt .
