Lifehouse is an American rock band from Malibu , California .
Band history
Lifehouse's first album, No Name Face , was released in 2000. It contains songs in which the singer speaks of frustrations and hopes. Her biggest hit so far, Hanging by a Moment, comes from this album .
The second Lifehouse album, Stanley Climbfall , was released in 2002. It is far more lyrically neutral. Wade said that he didn't want to be too tense with this album and just wrote what went through his head without making use of his own personal things.
Their third, self-titled album was released in May 2005. For this, the band separated from their bassist Sergio Andrade and second guitarist Sean Woolstenhulme. Several co-writers worked on the album. With the single You and Me , the band reached number 5 in the United States . In German-speaking countries, the title missed a chart position, but was accepted by radio stations.
In the course of her career Lifehouse were repeatedly said to have competed with the band The Calling , as they had lost their guitarist Sean Woolstenhulme to Lifehouse.
Their fourth album Who We Are was released on June 19, 2007 in American stores. In Europe it was released a week later. The band was on a three-month US tour with Goo Goo Dolls in spring 2007 .
The fifth album Smoke & Mirrors was released after several delays on May 7, 2010 in Germany. The first single from this album Halfway Gone was released on March 26th. In September and October 2010 Lifehouse played some concerts in Germany. In June 2011 Lifehouse played at the twin festivals Rock am Ring and Rock im Park.
In August 2011, Lifehouse announced on their official Facebook page that they are working on their sixth studio album. The first single of the new album Almería is called Between the Raindrops and was released on September 11, 2012. She was recorded with a close friend of the band, Natasha Bedingfield .
