Purple Marangou
Lila Marangou ( Greek Ευαγγελία "Λίλα" Μαραγκού Evangelia "Lila" Marangou ) (* 1938 ) is a Greek classical archaeologist . She received her doctorate in Tübingen in 1969 with the thesis "Laconic ivory and bone carvings". She teaches as a professor at the University of Ioannina and leads excavations on the island of Amorgos . She is an internationally recognized specialist in antique ivory and bone carving. Marangou is a full member of the German Archaeological Institute .
