Limay Mahuida is the capital of the Limay Mahuida department of the same name in the La Pampa province in central Argentina . The place is east of the Río Limay Mahuida . It can be reached via the Ruta Nacional 143 .

The place was founded in 1915. In the province of La Pampa, Limay Mahuida, along with Lihuel Calel, was hardest hit by the population decline between 1980 and 1991. The population fell again between 1991 and 2001 by 33 people.
