Lina Sabaitienė (born February 9, 1974 ) is a Lithuanian lawyer and politician , who has been Deputy Minister and Deputy Minister of Economy of Lithuania since December 2016 .

Life

After graduating from the 3rd secondary school in Druskininkai in 1991 , she completed a bachelor's degree in business and management from 1995 to 1998 and a master's degree in commercial law at the Faculty of Law of Vytauto Didžiojo universitetas in Kaunas from 1998 to 2001 .

From 1998 to 1999 she worked as a senior specialist in the industrial department, from 1999 to 2000 as senior lawyer in the subdivision for corporate activity regulation and from 2000 to 2004 as head of the subdivision for corporate law at the Lithuanian Ministry of Economic Affairs .

From 2004 to 2007 she worked as an economic attaché in the Lithuanian representation to the EU. In 2008 she was project manager-lawyer at the investment department at VšĮ Lietuvos ekonominės plėtros agentūra and from 2008 to 2010 director of the contact center at VšĮ “Eksportuojančioji Lietuva”. Until December 2016 she worked as a consultant at the Association Lietuvos savivaldybių asociacija (LSA). Since December 21, 2016, she has been the Deputy Minister of Economy of Lithuania and Deputy of Mindaugas Sinkevičius in the Skvernelis cabinet .
