Linas Tadas Karosas (* 1964 in Vilnius , Lithuanian SSR ) is a Lithuanian entrepreneur and CEO of the holding company LTk Capital . He is the founder and owner of the largest restaurant chain in the Baltic States “ Čili Holdings ” and the holding company UAB “Amazing CILI Invest” (formerly UAB “Vilsarmos investicija”). The chain currently has over 100 restaurants ( Čili pica, Čili kaimas, Čili Kinija, Tokyo ). According to Veidas magazine , Karosas was the 24th richest person in Lithuania in 2010 with a fortune of around 30 million euros .

Life

Karosas graduated from Vilnius University with a law degree and worked in the prosecutor's office for five to six years . He entered the business world around 1993. The first transactions were privatizations in post-Soviet Lithuania. Since then he has been involved in a number of business ventures : Mineraliniai vandenys (import and distribution of alcohol and tobacco products ), Gelvora (security services), Sarma (retailer of perfumery and cosmetics), Apranga (retailer of clothing), “Grand Casino World " and other. His latest project is the Pigu.lt (literally: “cheap.lt”) e-commerce website . It was inspired by a meeting with Amazon founder Jeff Bezos .

Karosas is shy of the public and hardly known to the masses in Lithuania. Without public attention, Karosas attracts media attention. He owns a four-seat Cirrus SR22 aircraft that crash-landed in July 2009. The media also reported that he bought a Bugatti Veyron , but he dismissed the rumors.
