history

The arrest of the Unabomber

On April 3, 1996, the " Unabomber " Theodore Kaczynski was arrested by FBI officials ten kilometers from Lincoln in his self-made wooden hut. Between 1978 and 1995, Kaczynski sent 16 letter bombs to various people in the  United States , killing three people and injuring another 23.

The 2017 earthquake

On July 6, 2017, an earthquake with a magnitude of 5.8 struck twelve kilometers south of Lincoln .
