Linda Jambo
Linda Jambo (born 1987 ) is a Malawian chess player . Since 2015 she has had the FIDE title of FIDE Women's Champion (WFM).
Jambo took the Malawian women's national team in the years 2010 and 2016 at Chess Olympiads in part, scoring a total of 20 games 10 points. She received the WFM title for her result at the women's zone tournament in 2015 in Blantyre , Malawi. At the 2017 zone tournament in Livingstone , Zambia, she came in 13th with 2 points from 9 rounds, including one point from a bye.
Her Elo rating is 1524 (as of January 2018), which puts her in first place in the Malawian women's Elo ranking. Her highest rating was 1561 in June 2016.
Jambo graduated from Mzuzu University and works for the National Bank of Malawi .
