Linde Prelog

Linde Prelog (born August 25, 1949 in Hartberg , Styria ) is an Austrian actress, author, songwriter, singer and cabaret artist.

Life

Prelog completed an acting training at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz. She then co-founded the independent theater group “Kukuruz” in Graz. She played in numerous theater productions, a. a. in the Theater in der Josefstadt , in the Drachengasse Theater , in the Vienna Volkstheater , in the Theater der Jugend and from 1998 to 2001 in the Bolzano City Theater .

In addition, she took part in numerous TV and cinema productions, including a. in the Alpensaga (1976–1979) by Peter Turrini and Wilhelm Pevny , in the five-part TV series Lebenslinien (1984/1987) by Käthe Kratz , in Atemnot (1985), in India (1993) by Paul Harather , in Kaisermühlen Blues (1998) in revenge by Götz Spielmann and in 2008 in the movie Lourdes by Jessica Hausner. In 2016 she also appeared in the movie The Night of the 1000 Hours by Virgil Widrich .

In 1980 she brought out her LP "Umständ Zuaständ Aufständ" (extra record) with her own songs (arrangements by Uli Scherer). Linde Prelog made her debut as a cabaret artist in 1985 at Vorlaute Emmis (Theater in der Drachengasse). As a member of the women's cabaret ensemble Menubeln, she took part in the first program “Now even more” (1987). Then she designed solo programs with music and her own texts. Her evening “An den Langen Lüsten” was recorded on CD in 1996 in the Drachengasse theater. The collaboration with four cellists resulted in “Schüttelsprach mit Saitenhieb” and “SaTierisches mit Saitenzunder”. Her texts for the Christmas program "Happy Adventness" were put on stage together with the cellist Margarethe Herbert and the dulcimer player Franziska Fleischanderl for four years in the Drachengasse theater.

Prelog made her debut as a writer at Theater Drachengasse in 1996 with the play “Fragments. In pairs ". In 2006 her volume of poetry was published with ballad-like fairy tales to say the least . In 2016 she wrote some texts about the photos by Peter Reichert in the photo book “Wiener Mixture” (Verlag Anton Pustet).

Linde Prelog is married to the Swiss photographer Peter Reichert and lives with him in Vienna.
