Menubles

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Die Menubeln was a feminist - critical female cabaret trio from Austria , which performed in the entire German-speaking area from 1987 to 1996. The term Menubeln comes from Yiddish and means “perky, cheeky, angry people who also talk back” - in the course of time, however, it has only been applied to women, in the sense of “angry, ugly women”.

The actresses Erika Deutinger and Jeanette Tanzer were an integral part of the menu from the first to the last program. In the first cabaret program "Now more than ever," added Linde Prelog the trio. For the following two programs, actress and author Eva Dité took on the third part, followed by Elke Hesse for “Menubeln against Spenstig” and finally Martha Günzl for the remaining appearances. Authors and co-authors of the Menubeln were among others: Erika Molny , Leo Lukas , Wolfgang Beyer , Uli Brée , Elfriede Hammerl , Heinz R. Unger , Fritz Schindlecker and Hannes Vogler . The cabaret trio Menubeln broke up in the summer of 1996.
