Erika Molny
Erika Molny (born June 28, 1932 in Patergassen , Carinthia , † August 26, 1990 in Vienna ) was an Austrian author and journalist .
The daughter of a radiologist and a nurse was supposed to become an X-ray assistant first and then completed an - unpopular - degree at the University of World Trade in Vienna. After her marriage to the writer Thomas Pluch (1960) and the birth of two daughters, including the screenwriter Agnes Pluch (* 1968), she increasingly turned to writing. Molny initially wrote mainly TV reviews and columns for various national Austrian media, then plays, novels, satirical cabaret texts and TV scripts.
