Linden is a district of Seelscheid in the municipality of Neunkirchen-Seelscheid in the Rhein-Sieg district .

The formerly independent town of Linden is located in the southeast of Seelscheid on the slopes of the Wahnbach valley . Oberlinden was a little higher on Bundesstrasse 56 . Former neighboring towns were Post Seelscheid in the north, Hausen in the south and Weesbach in the west.

history

In 1830 Linden had eleven residents. In 1845 the farm had six Catholic and nine Protestant residents (15) in three houses. In 1888 there were 57 residents in 12 houses in Linden, Oberlinden had 16 residents in two houses.

In 1910 the families Uhrmacher August Färber, Ackerer Julius Haas, the tailors August and Daniel Linden, the retired pastor August Merklinghaus, the small trader Robert Oberdörster, the confectioner August Schöneshöfer and the farmer Johann Wilhelm Schöneshöfer lived in Linden.

The hamlet belonged to the Seelscheid community until 1969.
