The Linderhütte is a bivouac box belonging to the Lienz section of the Austrian Tourist Club at 2683 m above sea level. A. in the Lienz Dolomites . It is located on the Spitzkofel ridge east of the Spitzkofel southwest shoulder directly on the way to the Spitzkofel 2718 m above sea level. A. It is the oldest hut in the Lienz Dolomites. The Linderhütte was built between 1883 and 1884 by Ignaz Linder, an important developer of the Lienz Dolomites. However, it later disintegrated and was rebuilt in 1958–59. In the last few years it has been partially renewed and only serves as an emergency shelter. There is a stove (oven), but you should bring your own wood for heating and water for cooking.
Approach
The hut can be reached via the Kerschbaumeralm Schutzhaus and further via the Hallebachtörl on the way to the Spitzkofel or via the Hallebachtal on an unmarked and very steep ascent (not recommended).
