Linimo ( Japanese リ ニ モ , Rinimo ), actually Tōbu Kyūryō-sen ( 東部 丘陵 線 , literally: Eastern hill line ), is a magnetic levitation train of the HSST (High Speed Surface Transport) type for passenger transport in city traffic, similar to a subway . The drive of the vehicles is based on the principle of a linear motor as in the Berlin M-Bahn . The operator is the Aichi Rapid Transit Company ( 愛 知 高速 交通 株式会社 , Aichi kōsoku kōtsū kabushiki gaisha ).

The only line to date was put into operation on March 6, 2005 for Expo 2005 and is located in Japan , east of the city of Nagoya .
It has nine stations and is 8.9 km long. The maximum speed of this system is 100 km / h, the minimum curve radius is 75 m. 244 passengers can be carried per train , so Linimo has a capacity of 4000 passengers / hour.
Series 100 Linimo wagons are used as the train .
