Link 80 is an American punk rock / ska punk band from the San Francisco Bay Area .
Band history
The band Link 80 formed in early 1994 in East Bay of California . Initially, the founding members Matt Bettinelli-Olpin (guitar), Joey Bustos (drums), Adam Pereria (bass) and Jeff Acree (vocals) were active under various band names such as Drano , The Rag-Tags and Mr. Slave-Unit before they agreed on the name Link 80 , which they kept until it was dissolved. This band name was derived from the Interstate Highway , which the band members used to reach the drummer's garage where they were rehearsing. In July 1995 the singer Nick Traina , the son of Danielle Steel , joined the band. The band was signed to Asian Man Records until they broke up in 2002 .
