Lior Ashkenazi ( Hebrew ליאור אשכנזי; * December 28, 1968 in Ramat Gan , Israel ) is an Israeli actor .

Life

Lior Ashkenazi was born the son of Turkish Jews in Ramat Gan. He spent his youth in a kibbutz . From 1987, Ashkenazi did his military service with the Israeli Armed Forces in the Parachute Brigade . He then studied at the Beit Zvi drama school until 1994 . After his theater engagement, he starred in films such as Kanon , Enemy Scoop and Southwest , before receiving the Israeli film prize Ophir Award for Best Actor in 2001 for his role as Zaza in Dover Koshashvili’s love film Weddings against Will .

Lior Ashkenazi was married to actress Shira Farber , with whom he has a daughter. Then he was in a relationship with the screenwriter and playwright Sigal Avin. He has been married to the film producer Maya Amsellem since December 26, 2011 .
