Lisa Mayer (* 1954 in Nassereith , Tyrol ) is an Austrian poet .

Life

Lisa Mayer has lived in Puch near Hallein since 1977 and works as a speech therapist .

In the 1970s she published several stories in Tyrolean magazines. Afterwards she took a break from writing for several years for professional reasons and became the mother of six children. Then she turned to poetry. In 1998 she received the Salzburg Literature Prize , and in 1999 the first volume of poetry appeared on the roofs is drumming again , in 2005 the second book You alone give gifts to thieves . In the same year she was awarded third place at the Feldkircher Poetry Prize. Lisa Mayer's poetry has already been translated into Polish, Spanish, Hungarian, Arabic and Russian. In 2007 she received the Georg Trakl Promotion Prize . In 2008 her volume of dialect poetry "funke zinte zepf ahschneide" was published by Eizenbergerhof Salzburg. Mayer took part in numerous international poetry meetings.
