Lisa Peters

Lisa Peters , née Prigge, (born December 17, 1933 in Pippensen , today Buxtehude , in the Stade district , † May 9, 2010 in Buxtehude) was a German politician ( FDP ).

Peters was a rural housekeeper and family worker on the farm. For more than 25 years she was the chairwoman of the female master craftsmen's group in the Harburg district , and for twelve years she was on the rural women’s district committee. She was also a member of the examination board and master of rural housekeeping for 25 years. She was also a long-term member of the rural women’s committee at the Chamber of Agriculture and until 1991 an honorary judge at the Lüneburg Higher Administrative Court . She was also the chairman of the parents' council for many years.

In August 1972, Peters joined the FDP. She was the local chairman of the Buxtehude branch and was a member of the delegation at district, state and federal party conferences. In 1972 she became councilor of the city council in Buxtehude, to which she belonged until her death, and was there deputy chairman of the FDP parliamentary group. From 1978 to 1991 she was the first deputy mayor of the city of Buxtehude, from 1981 she was represented in the Stade district council and also deputy parliamentary group leader there. From 1990 to 1998 she was represented in the German Bundestag , where she was the deputy transport policy spokeswoman for the FDP parliamentary group.
