Daensen ( Doans in Low German ) is a town in the town of Buxtehude in the Stade district in Lower Saxony . Daensen includes the Heimbruch and Pippensen settlements.

In 1819 Daensen, Pippensen and Heimbruch are merged into a rural community.
The village's own school is founded in 1856, before the children went to school in Moisburg . In 1969 the school was closed and from then on the primary school children attended
Altkloster primary school .

Pippensen

It goes from Daensen to Pippensen and then always from house to house to collect eggs and other things. Music is played and danced around the house. From Pippensen it goes to Heimbruch. The annual speech is given between Daensen and Pippensen on a stone. The speaker elects the speaker for the next year. There is a quick snack. Then it goes back to Daensen and there is more collecting and dancing. At the end the eggs and bacon are fried and there is a big meal in the fire station. The leftover things are distributed.

Pingsbütel

Once a year children meet and decorate a wagon with branches and twigs. The next day the children go from house to house and say a saying and collect sweets and money. There is a child sitting in the handcart who has to be guessed. In the afternoon there is cake and the sweets and money are shared. The money is actually used to go to the “Pentecost Market in Neukloster”.
