Geographical location
Moisburg is located northwest of the Lüneburg Heath Nature Park on the Este . The municipality belongs to the joint municipality of Hollenstedt , which has its administrative seat in the municipality of Hollenstedt .

history
The community was first mentioned in a document in 1322. The watermill on the Este, documented around 1379, is now a mill museum .
The area around Moisburg originally belonged to the Grafschaft Stade until Duke Otto was enfeoffed with the area for the first time in 1236.
Moisburg belonged to the Moisburg office until it was dissolved in 1859 , to the Tostedt office until 1885 , to the Harburg district until 1932 and since then to the Harburg district .

The MTV Moisburg e. V. is the popular sports club in the municipality of Moisburg, there is also the Moisburg von 1861 e. V. The first men's soccer team of MTV Moisburg has been playing in the Lüneburg regional league since the 2010/2011 season.
