mayor

Heiner Albers (Hollenstedt Voting Association) has been Mayor of the municipality since January 1, 2014. In the runoff election on October 6, 2013, he received 52.4 percent. The turnout was 48.2 percent. His predecessor Uwe Rennwald (independent) was the first full-time mayor since 2006. At that time he was elected with 60.2 percent.

Community partnerships

Since 2008, Wińsko in Poland has been a partner municipality of the joint municipality of Hollenstedt.
