coat of arms
Blazon : "In silver a green heart shield, in it a silver sword with a gold pommel crossed at an angle, crossed by a silver ax with a gold handle, and eight green oak leaves."
Meaning: The number of oak leaves indicates the eight member communities of the Tostedt municipality.
The heart shield represents the village of Tostedt.
The sword indicates that Tostedt was the seat of jurisdiction as early as 1625, while the ax symbolizes logging.
Figures and colors are taken from the Tostedt local coat of arms, as the municipality of Tostedt gives the name to the new joint municipality.
