Peter Dörsam

Peter Dörsam (* 1966 in Hamburg ) is a German local politician ( Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen / UWG Heidenau ) and has been the full-time mayor of the joint municipality of Tostedt since November 1, 2014 .

Life

Peter Dörsam spent his childhood in Tostedt and went to primary school there. At the age of 14, his family moved to Heidenau.

After passing the Abitur, he completed a double degree in physics and economics .

Subsequently , Peter Dörsam did his doctorate until 2003 at the University of Hamburg on a local political topic. The title of his dissertation was Private Provision of Public Investment Funds. On the economic problems of selected special financing .

Since 1992 he has worked as a specialist book author and then founded his own publishing house in 1994, PD-Verlag.

Dörsam plays chess and is a member of the MTV Tostedt league team.

Peter Dörsam since 1982. Member of Alliance 90 / The Greens and was from 1993 to 1998 deputy in the council of the district Harburg .

On June 15, 2014, the independent candidate Peter Dörsam won the runoff election with a majority of 61.7% of the valid votes against the previous incumbent Dirk Bostelmann ( CDU ), who received 38.3 percent of the votes.

Since November 1, 2014, Peter Dörsam has been the full-time Mayor of the Joint Community of Tostedt for a period of seven years.
