Eilendorf ( Low German Eindörp ) is a south facing hamlet of Buxtehude in Lower Saxony with 754 inhabitants. Until 1972 the place was an independent municipality and belonged to the district of Harburg .
Incorporation
Eilendorf was first mentioned in 1197 as Eilendorpe . In 1777 three fireplaces are counted. Until March 16, 1936 the place name was Eyendorf . The place was incorporated into the city of Buxtehude on July 1, 1972 with the area change agreement concluded between the city of Buxtehude and the municipality of Eilendorf on June 14, 1972 and approved by the district president in Stade on June 20, 1972 . Eilendorf was previously part of the Harburg district . In 2013 there are two full farms.
Landscheide
The road "An der Landscheide" marks part of the border from 1236 to July 1, 1972 between
- the Archbishopric of Bremen and the Duchy of Braunschweig-Lüneburg ,
- the duchies of Bremen and Verden and the principality of Lüneburg ,
- the Landdrosteien Stade and Lüneburg and finally
- the administrative districts of Stade and Lüneburg .
Today it is still the border between the parishes of St. Petri Buxtehude and St. Nicolai Elstorf and within Buxtehude.
